As I have said many times, the Bible is largely myth and metaphor and there is some seriously crazy shit--especially a lot of stuff in Exodus.
There ARE two quotye I think are right one--when Jesus said that the kingdom of God is within you--in other words, heaven is not a place, but a state of mind we can create here on earth.
The other is when he said "All these things I have done, ye can do also--all these and more." In other words, he was nothing special, just a messenger, one of many prophets.

Your right, Jesus wanted us to learn what the human mind is capable of, It wasnt that Jesus is special, It was his environment that allowed these miracles.

According to Philosophy: The human mind is capable of controlling reality in omnipotent fantasy. That means all of your dreams are capable of coming true before the day you die.
