Many religious people AND athiests seem to have the wrong idea...

Well they do to me anyway. Ok, my basic understanding is this

*Athiests - No belief in God/Gods
*Religous beleivers (any sort) - There is a god, but ours is the only right one.

I think both are wrong. Athiests are silly to beleive there is no higher power. On the same token, Religous people are silly to beleive they actually know this 'god' (thier god) and not doing what he says could end you up in a bad place.

I am refering to a higher power. Not a Jesus, Moses, Zeus, Muhammad, etc kind of guy. I am speaking of a higher power that does not care what belief you are, and what you do in life. Its all for the higher powers enjoyment. He is a neutral, all powerful being.

Not sure exactly where this belongs. Im assuming its here.

Yeah, it's so self-evidently true that there is a "higher power" that it's just silly to have no belief in it until actual evidence comes along!

No one knows, exactly! Which is why it is completely reasonable to not have a belief in gods until it is proven either way. Thank you.
To say that atheists are "silly" for not having a belief in god (or a "higher power"), that is silly.

We all create our own reality. In my reality, there is no God, as in some bearded dude on a cloud or something somewhere, who judges and metes out rewards and punishments. To me, God is the spirit--sentient, creative, loving-- underlying the sum total of the universe, and all of us. This is what Jesus meant when he said "the kingdom of god is within you."

However, there are any number of spiritual entities which might accurately be described as gods, such as Tlaloc, with whom I have had a rewarding relationship for years.

I suspect we shall see a hardening of contrasting "beliefs" as we get farther along into the Age of Aquarius, the keynote of which is "I know."

BTW, over the years, I have had conversations with many so-called atheists, some of whom were confused or affronted by the fact that the God I know is nothing like the God in which they do not believe.

If it is strictly for "the higher powers enjoyment", then how could "he" be neutral? Enjoyment of all sides?

I know the Truth. I also know that most people aren't mentally capable of understanding the truth. God exists in a way, but God is not the personified father figure that the common believes.
