something i dont understand about the way the bible came to be..

my understanding is that the bible is a collection of many different stories written by many different people. at some point in time, leaders of the church came together to put these stories together into a book- the bible.

ive heard that there are many many other stories that these leaders of the church did not think were appropriate for the bible. some just sounded too.. crazy. so a LOT of information was left out of the bible, because it didnt sound "right".

how did these people determine which of these stories were true and the actual word of god, and which were just written by a schizophrenic?

the new testament was written by constantine in commitee. he realised that this new religion was growing powerful, and needed to control it. they sat down and decided what was to be apart of christianity based on keeping the peace and retaining control.

to make the transition as easy as possible, he incorporated existing holidays (like december 25th) into the new religion and used mythical gods and stories as anecdotes. this made it easier for non-christians of the time to change religions, it was basically the same thing with a different main character (which is why there are huge similarities between greek and roman heros and jesus).

im not sure what was left out of the bible, and what was re-written, i don't think anyone is, but you can be sure it must have been a very substantial lot. i don't understand how it can be considered the word of god when it was constructed by a pagan politicial with only one goal.

the old testament had something to do with writing in code to avoid roman censors, so people can interpretate it however they want and cannot be proven wrong.

They have found the gospel of judas and gospel of mary magdalen. in the gospel of judas it says jesus told judas to turn him in to the romans and in return judas would go to heaven when he died. because supposedly it was jesus's time to return to heaven and he needed to leave his body but he could not kill himself. he also said that all people in hell can go to heaven only if all repent. i forget what the gospel of mary magdalen said but it was good shit. when jesus died she became like a preacher but constantine didnt like the power she had. so he misrepresented her by calling her a prostitue in the new testament. look for it on the net. i saw it all on the discovery channel and history channel.


this is the reason i dont go to church because MAN wrote that shit and MAN decided what would go in and what aint.
