Religious People (Specifically Christians) Answer My Question!
Why is it that Christians have no problem killing or allowing killing to happen? Now, I know not ALL condone murder/war I'm not making a generalization but it seems so many on the religious right support war in Iraq and bombing of the middle east and I don't understand why.
I mean haven't you all been raised knowing "Thou Shall Not Kill"? This completely goes against what you've been told and you're violating god's will, no if, ands, or buts, you're flat out disobeying arguably the most important commandment and this doesn't seem to faze any of you. Please explain this? Shouldn't you all be upset about not only our troops but all the people in the middle east dying, regardless if their terrorists or not, considering the "christian thing is to be forgiving and love thy enemy" after all those are the words of Christ which you seem fairly adamant about following...And saying "well we need to take revenge" is the most unchristian thing you could ever say, Jesus even forgave those who crucified him (not that they made it to heaven but he did not hate them).
BTW I hate religion and don't believe in God but I in no way support murder or war...unlike religious people....it sounds like I'm the one who should go to heaven and all you should go to hell for breaking the commandant of thou shall not kill
So just give me a straight up answer on how you justify war (which an unbelievably large number of religious people support) and killing when it clearly contradicts the bible?
