Christians and Music.

What's so special about punk? or just rock in general?
because it seems that Christians seem to target this genre a lot.

Just recently I asked my mom why I can't go to a punk show at the local venue and she said because it's bad music. I asked her what makes it bad and she says it's "devil music". I told her I don't believe that there is a devil, but she still wont listen.

What I've been taught is that [fundamentalist] Christians don't listen to any type of secular music because it does not "bring God glory".

Both of my parents listen to some secular music so I'm really pissed, argh, and I know calling them hypocrites will only make them angry.
