So the country was safer because we locked up commies? Would the country be safer if we locked up commies now? Would the country be safer if we locked up Iraqis, or even Muslims now?

I agree that a biased school is a fucking stupid one, but things like the Red-Scare and the German/Japanese internment camps were just based out of Fear. People do stupid shit when they're scared.
The fact is, there was a major threat to America from both commies and japanese spies at those times. So while the internment and the red scare weren't done in the right way, and definitely ended up being extremely unfair to many japs, and to many innocent people. The country did end up being safer because of them.

But I'm not here to say that these were justified, I'm just saying I think schools can't teach us only one side of an issue. Many of the less intelligent students in my class just heard this and accepted it unthinkingly. No matter what your political persuasion is, surely all totseans can agree that people who don't even analyze the issue and just repeat what they heard somewhere are idiots. At least if schools introduced to us both sides of the issue we'd have a populous that isn't so stupid and willing to accept whatever they hear from an authority figure all the time.

But another example I didn't bring up in my last post is that I've had many teachers over the years who were so quick to point out times when American ethnocentrism was a horrible thing and we should all just be politically correct little faggots. However, not once did I ever hear those teachers talk about the danger of muslim extremism and how ethnocentrism was what caused 9/11. Because that wouldn't be politically correct. What has this world come to? We have no problem with our teachers telling us that we live in a horrible country and that europe is just so much more advanced than us. However if a teacher mentions that it was muslims who attacked on because of their religious beliefs, well the teacher would just be exiled.

You need to weight fairness to safety. Don't give up freedom for safety. Not your freedom, not my freedom, not anybodies freedom.

The stupid and ignorant deserve to be taken advantage of. You don't need a high I.Q. to be reasonable and avoid being a pawn.

Alright, ethnocentrism didn't cause 9/11, the fact that terrorists had a reason to direct their rage and violence toward us is what caused 9/11.

Al Qaeda didn't attack Mexico or Japan. Mainly because Mexico and Japan weren't/hadn't bombed them and set up bases in their country. Is there a religious element to it? Fuck yes, but that doesn't make Islam evil. You can bastardize and twist ANY religion to justify horrible things.

By "advanced", I assume you mean culturally? I wouldn't go that far, but I will say that they're much more tolerant of all peoples in Europe than they are in America. Much less ignorance.

Ethnocentrism and extremism is never good, no matter what side it's on.

They're not tolerant of foreigners; especially Americans and Gypsies. Russia is one of the most ethnocentric nations on Earth, very anti-American. Non-white and sometimes white Americans are often stomped by skinhead gangs in public. North African immigrants in France are some of the most racialist, hateful people in Europe. Poland is one of the most nationalistic, racist nations on Earth. Greece is one of the most racialist and nationalistic nations on Earth. Spain and Italy are reverting back to their pre-democratic ways. I'd like to add that almost every country in Southern Europe preferred John Mccain over Barack Obama. Have you ever even been you Europe? Shut the fuck up you fucking whiny liberal faggot, I'm so sick of your naive ass.

They're often not tolerant of Americans. Mainly because they see Americans on TV and the Internet poking fun at them, calling them faggots, etc, etc.

Skinhead gangs in ANY country do not represent the majority, therefore do not represent that country. That would be like saying that because Skinheads in America commit hate crimes, all Americans are racist. It's untrue.

Something in me questions this, but just for the hell of it, I'll accept it as fact for now.

I'd like to see some citations. Mainly because if it's true I'd like to read up on it.

Poland, Greece, Italy and Spain are not all of Europe.

I'd like to ask for proof (as I have from others on various occasions) of your claim.

What kind of justification is that? You justify their discrimination because (your ignorant ass) believes that they do it because they have seen Americans poking fun at them on the internet and the television, yet you go on to make this argument about generalization:

Quote:
Skinhead gangs in ANY country do not represent the majority, therefore do not represent that country. That would be like saying that because Skinheads in America commit hate crimes, all Americans are racist. It's untrue.
How hypocritical of you, why is generalization okay if promoted by Europeans; but not Americans? Speaking of hypocrisy, the same argument.

It's untrue because there aren't a majority of skinheads in the USA nor are skinhead beating rituals a common occurrence. The same cannot be said of Russia. I'm very tired of people using the generalization argument hypocritically, you claim that I am wrong for generalizing Russia as a bunch of skinheads yet your counterargument is that because the majority of Americans are not; therefore nowhere else in the world is. Perhaps you should think about what you're typing before you submit a reply.

Sometime in me questions this, but just for the hell of it, I'll accept it as fact for now.

Google the immigration crackdown and fingerprint documentation of Roma.

Those are the countries I mentioned, the same can be said for every other country with the possible exception of Norway, Denmark etc.

Not really; Spain and Italy had the highest percentage of "don't know, refused", that's because no one wants to be seen as racist by declining Barack in the fascist dictatorship of the EU. Google it and you will see who has who's support; don't cherry pick links.

Maybe they really didn't know?

If I asked you about Spanish political parties right now, and who you'd like to win based on how they'd effect you, what would you say?..

Not everybody pays as much attention to OUR politics as WE do.

No, I said that they do it to us because we do it to them. I'm not favoring anybody or saying it's right, I'm just giving a possible reason for their actions.

People beat eachother up for racial reasons all the time in the U.S..

Whites beating Blacks/Jews/Hispanics, Blacks beating Jews/Whites/Hispanics, etc, etc.

I have no clue what you're trying to say here, but I'll guess.

You think that my saying "Not all Russians are skinheads" is a generalization? That's the fucking opposite of a generalization.

Lol, Russia.

They do, as we are the most important and powerful nation on Earth. Everything we do affects them but not vice versa.

Do you not think Europeans do the exact same thing, and have been ever since the colonial days? You're shifting points because you don't want to admit what a hypocritical contradictory assclown you are.

Not really and, not nearly in the same fashion as they do in Russia, who actually have skinhead white supremacist private militaries.

Quote:
Whites beating Blacks/Jews/Hispanics, Blacks beating Jews/Whites/Hispanics, etc, etc.
Care to give me some examples comparable to this?

Why, because it is fitting of something a whiny liberal neutered queer such as yourself would say? A generalization is a generalization, but not that is not what I implied you fucking illiterate dumbass. What I implied was that you made the assumption that because not EVERYONE IN AMERICA is a skinhead, that everyone in Russia certainly must not be; it isn't the case, quote me when I say that Russia is by far the most racist extremist white country on Earth. A great number of people there are skinheads or racist nationalists in general.

Lol, Russia.
Come again?

What is it with you and these homosexual overtones? Pulling something out of his ass? Shut the fuck up you fucking queer, no one cares to hear about your mental perversion.
