So Satan is a tattoo artist?
Did you ever think that body art is important in other religions, pagan especially, and as such, was deemed unholy by the authors of the bible, or leaders of the church?
Or did you think stealing holidays was the extent of religion fucking with pagans?

Re: Body Piercings, Tattoos = SATAN
I have yet to see any evidence that "Satan" existed before the Vatican.
A lot of society embraces values that are similar to [Laveyan] Satanism without realizing it, namely egotism and materialism.
Not to mention you completely misunderstood the "mark of the beast."
"And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."
This is undoubtedly speaking of a persons name you can find with Gematria not body modifications.
Calling piercings and tattoos the work of "Satan" is just fear of others beliefs.

You have evidence he exists now? I appreciate the spirit of questioning the existence of an invisible malevolent force that only religion can save you from (please donate money now).
But.........
Satan existed in the bible before the Vatican.
He existed in the Old Testament, whilst Rome was still worshiping Mithra and Jupiter. Read Job or Chronicles in the OLD TESTAMENT for example.

Re: Body Piercings, Tattoos = SATAN
Satan is a force that exists in the universe.
He's not a personality.
A force.
Kind of like gravity.

Unlike gravity we can't measure, see or interact with this force at all.
Satan was created to personify all of what the creators of the Abrhamic religions deemed detrimental to the success of their religion.
Satan is what L. Ron Hubbard would have created 5000 years ago, instead of the thetan implant.
Personally, I find the authors of the bible to be better at writing fiction than Mr. Hubbard.

Only because you're blinded by convention and reason...
I've seen "Satan".
Hell, I saw him today.
He's an active force in my life.
The scope of what this universe contains is far beyond the imagination and definitely far beyond modern so called scientific thought.
ps: the whole thetan thing comes from a mix of gnostic theology and the doctrine of the many selves

Blinded by reason?
Are you talking about the phenomenon human beings such as your self utilize on a daily basis to survive and prosper?
What is better than reason? Nonsense, like God, soul, Satan and afterlife? This shit is better?

Tell me in what capacity.
A naughty voice in the back of your mind?
If so, then your bar for the supernatural is PAINFULLY low, my friend.

I would not say it is beyond imagination. Someone imagined a God, soul and afterlife, which pretty much explains the whole thing.
The only problem is (and you have to admit) there is no way to test the shit. So, it COULD have all been bullshitted. It could be a big fat lie, humanity has choked on for about 5000 years.
And this so called scientific thought....
Your superstitious bronze age beliefs are far superior to modern medicine, how?

Well said.
All my tats were applied by another shaman, most for shamanic purposes--the one I got of my wife's moniker was just me being gallant. (The others, BTW, were as follows--right forearm, lightening bolt going through a pentagram; chest, Kokopelli; right upper arm; right eye of Horus and the Egyptian sun eagle; left upper arm, my astrological sign, Libra.)

Although it's said not to throw pearls before swine...well...fuck it.
Yeah...I don't really see that working at all.

And as for Rizzo, not even the Pope would agree with you.

Why would he? Organized religion is a fraud. If the Pope doesn't agree with me then I would feel even more right, although my feelings are not dependent on other people or their opinions.

States of mind are all there is. Reality is just an interpretation. Of course for anyone who hasn't discovered that themselves it will all just seem to be more nonsense.

I think we can all get past Medieval concepts of religion.

Who is talking concepts? I'm talking experiential knowledge. Gnosis. Direct knowledge.

Reason isn't a phenomenon and if you believe so then you must really be far gone. And I will say once again, very few humans utilize reason so much as they are completely enslaved by it.
Quote:

Ideas and what not, all thinking, that still will 99% of the time fall under "reason". Anything born out of talking and thinking and having a point of reference is reason.
What is far more engulfing than reason is will.
Quote:

A naughty voice in the back of your mind?

This is why it is useless to try to even talk to you, you already know it all. Why bother trying to explain or even hint at any of this? All you do is spew the same BS with no originality and bring nothing positive at all to the table. You just negatively attack what you do not comprehend.
Quote:

There is nothing super natural about it at all. It all falls under "nature". The only thing supernatural are those few individuals who become Masters of Nature.
Quote:
I would not say it is beyond imagination. Someone imagined a God, soul and afterlife, which pretty much explains the whole thing.
|
No, it explains nothing at all. And yes, the universe IS far, far beyond imagination. There is no way for your mind to wrap itself around it because it transcends the mind by leaps and bounds.
Quote:
The only problem is (and you have to admit) there is no way to test the shit.

Digest it?
Hah, no, but there is a way to test it but it is completely engulfing. You have to take a huge leap and even then you can't choose to do it yourself.
Quote:
So, it COULD have all been bullshitted.

What?

I hold no superstitions whatsoever. Nor do I ever need to go to the doctor.
Another useless dialog. Woohoo!
