Arguing in circles this way is quite pointless. Is there even one hot political subject out there that hasn't been debated and refuted from all sides and all angles? Couldn't you see that before posting that stupid response?

True. But to what extent was it refuted from both sides. How valid was the one point vs the counterpoint. Promoting a debate can expand it and explore new angles which could lead to a mutual understanding. However, my experience in debating 9/11 conspiracy theories on the Loose Change forums has taught me one thing. American's who believe their governemnet is a run by a corupt president who orchestrated the destruction of the twin towers and belongs to some secrete NWO, will never be swayed, no matter how much scientific evidence is thrust upon them. Scientific evidence that disproves their theories on every level. It is all ignored.

Your quest for stone cold evidence in search of truth is admirable and suggests a scientific mind, but you lack depth of thought. Listen, I don't believe in things like these because Alex Jones told me to. I believe in things like these because I've done my research on myriads of different topics, I've read differing view points and I've used my own life experiences and observations in relation to what I've read to draw my own conclusions. I don't take a documentary like Endgame as gospel, far from it. I understand its limitations and use it accordingly. It's just another resource among countless other resources out there. If you don't like Endgame, then go study the numerous other subjects I suggested. Believe it or not, the idea wasn't to sway your opinion one way or the other. The idea was to teach you to learn how to think critically/think for yourself.

My training as a civil engineer, does compele me to seek for the whole truth, and with verifiable sources, evidence and proof. I approach everything openely, with the full intent of understanding it, before making judgement. In my younger days I was a firm believer in the JFK conspiracy, moon landing fakes and so on. Through my education and experiences I became accustomed to real scientific method, critical understanding and the value of verifiable proof. Once I investiagted those popular conspiracy theories, evaluated scientific evidence from noteworthy scientific bodies, councils etc. It became clear how compelling a conspiracy theory can be. Once I had fully investigated the story, certain aspectys became obviously false and true.
I accept that you have also investigated further and drawn your conclusions based on life experiences and so forth. I also believe your theories are not based soley on one video. I question you, to challenge you to prove your side of the story. You may have been exposed to a few websites which were not true, this may have interested you and so you delved deeper, not stopping to check full well how valid these stories were. This was at the beggining of your studies. Starting of on a biased note has now probably lead to a predisposition for believing that side of the story. You do your research, but without realising it, you are reading what you want to read. Articles tahta ffirm your belief. Thsi may stem from personal sub-concious mistrust of authority or something to that effect.

Furthermore, I see you babble on endlessly about credible sources. Have you ever even stopped for a moment to ask yourself what a credible source is?
|
Yes, almost everyday. A good guidline is scientific bodies with published peer reviewed journals are trustworthy. A random website containing hundreds of unpublished theories taht haven't stood the rigour of international scientific scrutiny and debate are not so trust worty and warrant further investigation. This does not mean it is excluded.

You strike me as one of those guys who readily accepts the popular and obviously truthful opinion that popular news sources often only tell half-truths or flat out lie to the population, but who'd just as quickly label anyone who presents an account of popular media lying to us a "silly conspiracy theorist", which leads me to believe that you either lack brains, lack balls, or lack both. Pick a side or start thinking things through, please.

I never accept anything at face value. Being a South African and having a personal mistrust of the US, I couldn't have wished hard enough for the 9/11 conspiracy theories to be true. That would have been the ultimate story. Upon researching it, I read through pro-conspiracy websites and alot of it made no logical, scientific or factual sense. Delving deeper it became obvious that all of it was based on untested assumptions and biased beliefs. The belief that all authority is evil. Based on taht central belief, everything was just made to fit a conspiracy theory.
I chose my side a while back. Alot of what popular media has to say is wrong. I only offer opinions, until I understand the full story. Thsi may be challenging, but its what I believe.
