correct me if i'm wrong but don't the 3 main religions of the world all stem from exactly the same thing? they all worship exactly the same god, it's just a case of how that particular religion manifests the overall deity.
christianity - belives in jesus as the re-incarnation of the main commen denominator - god.
judeaism (sp?) - belives in god plain and simple, doesn't belive in the manifestation of god as jesus.
islam - jesus was a prophet in the islamic religion, they belived him to be from god but not an incarnation of god. if memory serves me correct were the jew and the muslims not one people in the begining then something happened and one religion became two? i'm pretty sure it had something to do with two brothers or something maybe cain and abel? (not to up on my religious history) god also has a different name under this religion - Allah. is this the exact same deity crossing the language barrier?
anyway, my point (unless someone tells me otherwise) is that these three religions all seem to be worshipping the same god. that strikes me as a bit odd when they're all trying to get reduce the other to mincemeat at every possible chance, do you think they're aware of this?

They all worship the God of Israel. Yes, they are all aware of it.

well... if you mean they all (well, most) stem from the same idea of there being a god or gods yes, but each perception of the deity(s) differs. the statement could be true if the person stateing it did not belive in god and therefore stated that the "god" in question was human paranioa and the need to make up a god... er, perhaps.
i dunno, i'd never really noticed the whole 3 religions in one thing before (not personally haveing anything to do with religion), it's so outlandish it'd be the stuff of matt groanin scripts if it wasn't bruitally true.

Most of the big three's ideologoy, stems from the Hermetic religion. Read the 'Kabalion' (probaly misspelled) and you'll see what I mean.

its quite simple, like building a car.
when you want to build a new car there is no need to start from scratch, as there are plenty of working models in existence which you can base your plan off of.
the same goes for controling the masses. when you want to flock the ignorant sheep, there is no need to start you theology from scratch, just base it off of somthing else. and that way you may even get some converts.

The three biggies pretty much stem from the same myth. Zen, Taoism, and Ba'Hai make a little more sense.
In general, religion sucks, spirituality rocks.
Then there's The Urantia Book, which is a whole 'nother thing.
