Im suppose to give a report/paper on the gospel according to Matthew. I got some matter already but I hope I could get something that is off the trodden path. thanks

I think that's the one that's least infested with lies, but I'm not sure. Hold on, I'll take a little jander through cyberspace and see if I can't give you a hand. It is one of my favorite topics.

Okay, there's one book I mentioned in that other thread I started, "The Mythmaker," that deals very nicely with the gospels. Also, if you can get your hands on "Abuse Your Illusions," from DisInfo Books, you'll find a break down in the back showing how Gospels written later tended to have more crazy magical stuff in them. Actually, ironically enough, Acts was written first, if memory serves, and contains mention of only one miracle, and it might have been meant as a metaphor. Food for thought, man.
