Let's say that tommorow scientists happen to discover life on another planet. Obviously, people would be begging for explanations from religious leaders and who knows what the hell could happen. What do you think? Say for example that we found space bugs, less evolved completely unintelligent life. That would probably be easy to explain. Then say we actually DID find intelligent life, a group of people with ethics, intelligence, and morals comparable or even superior to ours. Would the church say they're going to heaven with us? Or must they all accept jesus for. Obviously, my question here is soooo immensely vague and theres sooo many different things that could happen, but it's nice to imagine. Maybe it would be a repeat of 500 years ago, where we set out to convert or exterminate heathens, then again the government isn't run by Jesus anymore. Who knows. Anyways this is something you HAVE to think about, Science makes it impossible to deny the possibility, however minute it may be, that there is, was, or will be life out there, and we also have to think about how our religion would be affected if we were to discover something of the sorts.
