I want to join a monastery!

I realize I have nothing going for me in life and I would like to join a monastery to become a monk and guarantee me a place in heaven.

How would one go abouts to joining a monastery?

^ I think you'd have to be more devout than that... I mean if you're not too bothered about which religion you want to devote your life to you should probably find out about them and start believing in one

I was told that one can be a Buddhist even if they're Christian.

Personally, I like the fact that Jesus is known for helping people(feeding the masses, walking on water, healing the blind, and sometimes even raising the dead). Jesus gets 2 thumbs up!

I need to go away to the monastery to prepare myself for paradise in my afterlife! If I'm a monk, it guarantees me a place with God, Jesus, & the Virgin Mary in heaven.

I read the Bible almost everyday and it is a valuable tool to me in my quest for truth, understanding, knowledge, and ultimately salvation.

That is competely untrue. I beleive it was the dalai lama who said that to be a christian and a buddhist would be like a lamb with an oxes head, or something to that affect.

What Bible? I don't think there are Prodostant or Born Again monks so you should be reading the Catholic one(it's longer). I would asume that you need to be baptised confirmed and all that.
