consider this:
we have to have been created by something, lets call whatever created us 'God'. Now if he created us its pretty safe to assume that he's pretty powerful in our terms, he's pulling out shit that we probably can't even comprehend even if we reach our peak of evolution. why though is he always thought to be ALL powerful and ALL knowing? is it not possible that he is pretty fucking powerful but he's still capable of making a mistake? that he doesn't know everything but he knows a hell of a lot more than we do?
this would explain all the fucked up things in life yet still allow room for a benign creater. he does care but hes limited hence he can't fix everything but he does what he can.

Well it seems to me that if the universe is infinite, it would be impossible to keep track of everything.

The Bible says that god is:
Omni-Benevolent (All Lovin')
Omni-Potent (All Powerful)
Omni_Present (Everywhere at once)
This cant be true cos you cant be all three, world hunger proves this. He cant stop it? Not all powerful? He can stop it? Cant be all present to do anything, or isnt all loving? Thus, The inconsistent triad is born

But the Bible also says that God gave us free will, and allows us to do things our own way. and i think we can all admit, alot of times we screw things up. World hunger is a result of human activities, not Gods

If he's omnipotent then he must be able to prevent world hunger while still preserving free will. Your excuse doesn't work.

God would simply do nothing, because he do not control us, free will is: we do what we want, no matter what, if it's good for you, you can try it out, no one will stop you, unless someone thinks that this is wrong, on their own free will. What I consider bad, for you can be something good.

Could you back that bit up with Scripture?

Wouldn't the universe being infinite make God infinite as well?
And infinite things being possible, including the one we reply to.
