My question is to all the Muslims on totse if the Koran was created after the Bible then why do they contradict each other? The most obvious appearance of this is Jesus and Muhhamad. They both preached two different messages.Jesus preached peace while Muhhamad preached violence. How is it that the Koran even says that it is the followup of the Bible yet the two teach different things?

Your post doesn't make much sense. I don't understand what you're asking exactly.

Mo preached violence? Source?

From what I've read:

The Koran is only a follow up because Jesus was just part of a line of prophets, not the son of god. Mo was was a later prophet, where the hell is the contradiction? Also, Islam, like any flavor of jesus believing, has it's own version of the bible stories. Supposedly Adam and Eve knew the right way to worship allah when they were created, but that later humans lost touch with themselves in those false teachings yadda yadda yadda.

Anyways, it doesn't agree with the bible because it's a DIFFERENT RELIGION. The way you ask your question, you seem to accept the Christian bible as true and therefore Islam is wrong because it has it's own interpretation of it.

From my agnostic perspective, both are equally wrong.

Sorry for the confusion. What I was trying to ask is: Why does the Bible and the koran contradict each other? They each have differnt opions on marriage, civil rights, and who Jesus is and what he did.The reason I ask this is because the Koran says that theBible,Torah, and the Koran are all inspired by Allah but yet they each contradict each other(except for the Bible and Torah). "We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them (3:84 AYA)."

To make clarifications Muhhamad did not preach violence he just justified the use of it.

"Fight against those who believe not in Allah and the Last Day and do not forbid what Allah and His Messenger, have forbidden -- such men as practice not the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book -- until they pay tribute out of hand and have been humbled" (Sura al-Tawba 9:29)."

My point is this the Koran says the Bible is true and yet the Bible contradicts the Koran.

Source that Islam quotes the Bible http://www.answering-islam.org.uk/Green/onbible.htm

Exodus 21:20

"If a man strikes his servant or his maid with a rod, and he dies under his hand, he shall surely be punished.

Exodus 21:21

Notwithstanding, if he gets up after a day or two, he shall not be punished, for he is his property.

Numbers 15:35

Yahweh said to Moses, "The man shall surely be put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside of the camp."

Deuteronomy 13:6-10

A man must slay his daughter, wife, son or friend for a difference in religion.

Deuteronomy 21:11-14

Female prisoners-of-war, said God, must be subject to the sexual whims of their captors. They may have only one month of mourning for slain parents. Thereafter, when the captor grows tired of a prisoner, he may cast her aside

I Samuel 15:3.8

On God's orders, Saul killed all the Amalekits, including women, infants and suckling babies

umm... i think the koran actually idolizes jesus as much as the bible, with the exception of interperetation. jesus is as much of a philosopher in the koran as much as the bible. also, the koran acutally has like a whole section dedicated to Mary, whereas the bible barely touches upon her. hell, most protestant denominations dont even give her the recognition she deserves. but then again, im catholic, so im biased in that perspective.
