Arkansas should be proud, after-all they put out so many top minds in the world.

Interesting article. quite sad schools stay away from teaching real science because moron parents might whine that you are actually teaching their kids. Makes you wonder if other pseudo-science becomes more mainstream what they will be teaching kids in the future if something isn't done.

It also highlights the only advantage creationists have, public opinion. They get reamed in court, they get reamed in science, about the only thing they can do is convince bible believers who don't have a solid grasp of science to either believe in them or go to hell with all the other evolution believing atheists.

I really expect Arkansas' school board to get challenged.

I...don't have a lot to say. It's obvious that repressing science is wrong. It's pathetic how hard people are attached to some of their beliefs. The ability to admit you're wrong and move on- woah I do have something to say! If only christianity better taught people to admit they were wrong and move on...

...perhaps there would be less christians.

The Arkansas Times is a "free press" type of publication that is taking SERIOUS flack for supporting that article.

There is a legislative movement (albeit a small, seemingly unorganized one) that formed a public outcry towards Evolution not being taught in schools.

It angers me too. What will anger me even further is to see the Free Press get eaten alive by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, which claims to present both sides of the Evolution/Creation argument where Arkansas schools are concerned. They clearly support Creationists.
