Islam is causing a lot of trouble

look at it on a global scale, you can see the isreali/palestine situation, iraq, afganistan, in india/kashmir, spain, france, thailand, most parts of AFRICA, etc, etc. (and dont mention the reason being US hegemony, it was there before already)

the word islam itself means submission to Allah, which is stupid cause some self claimed prophet decided it to be so.

and followers of islam are very close minded, intolerant to any claims against there religeon

Islam is not causing trouble. Islam is not a conscious entity and is completely harmless without Islamic extremists who are causing trouble. And yes, they should be subdued one way or another.

so is there some aspect of islam, the religion itself, that allows the extremists to exploit it like they do? basically i'm asking if the religion itself is "flawed" in that respect?

There is no flaw in Islam. Nyone who says otherwise obviously understands nothing about Islam. It's MAN that is the problem. A baseball bat is harmless, but put it in the hands of a maniac and it becomes deadly. Do you blame the bat if someone ends up dead? Fuck no.

All religions are flawed because they were created by people and all people are flawed. However Islam is no more flawed than any other religion nor is it more justifiable to extremists than any other religion.
