Refuse to do it. A priest won't confirm a heretic...But you might still have to go to the lame confirmation classes.

If you don't believe it, don't do it.
They can't force you to do anything.
If they know your views, and they themselves are extremely religious, just tell them it'd be wrong for them to confirm you, because 1 it would be a lie, and 2 you still wouldn't believe in god.
Sure they may be upset that you don't have the same views as them, but they need to respect it and get over it.

Tell them to leave you alone.
Well, that probably won't work...can't you cross your fingers of something, or anwser it in a way that satisfies them, but leaves you "wiggle room"?

Confirmed? Is that like being christened? If so then why wasn't it done when you were a baby? I know I was damn parents.

It's stupid that your parents are making you do it and you should tell them it's un-Christian to try and force you. If that doesn't work, tell the priest that you don't believe in "god", and if THAT doesn't work, do what my friend did; get yourself kicked out of the church by ripping pages out of the bible and screaming that "god" isn't real. Good luck!!

i believe the way it works is a baby gets baptised, but when they grow up they have to "confirm" their faith, hence confirmation.

There's two scenarios here:
No. 1: You lie and do it to please your parents. The outcome of this will end with you being temporarily annoyed by having to deal with the church and an order that you don't believe in (but since you're atheist this really shouldn't effect you too much. I mean, if you think it's bullshit, why would it?). Your parents will be happy until they find out that you were lying, which they will eventually, but they'll probably get over it because it will be irrelevant by then.
No. 2: You stick to your guns because you feel very strongly about your atheism. Not that you care about religion, but you definitely care about not caring about religion enough to piss off your parents and cause yourself a butt load of grief. You wouldn't want to betray your atheism by faking Christianity for a day to please your parents.
Bottom line: Either way you lose. You might as well do it and save yourself the grief of dealing with your parents.
Cheers,
Lost

Do not your relatives give you money on your confirmation.
Lying to get money is in the best tradition of the Catholic Church. You're presumably very young, so I'd do what your parents say, otherwise they'll probably make you. I didn't believe in God for my confirmation either, but I never stopped being a Good Catholic.
