Opinion 1- No, praying 5 times a day for Muslims is not ridiculous, because firstly:

It is commanded in the Koran

If Allah said it, Muslims must obey.

If they believe they are going to paradise, it does not matter what sacrifices they make on earth

It gives them a sense of discipline

It gives them a sense of unity.

Also, it is already a compromise, going down from

55 to 5.

I think the so-called virgins are some sort of angels known as houri, according to the myth that some Muslims buy into.

A rather silly idea, but no sillier than the stuff a lot of Christians swallow--like the ritual cannibalism they practice.
