Something that doesn't add up about intervention.

Christians say that God doesn't stop bad things from happening because we have free will and have to do it all ourselves to show we're worthy, but at the same time whenever good stuff happens they say it's a blessing from god and a miracle, that does not make sense. So when a woman survives a car crash, it's a miracle of God, if so, can't he do something better like save all the starving Africans? Why is it always rich, fat Americans he "saves"? And it says in the bible if two people come together and pray on something it will be done. Now I'm sure more than one African has prayed for them all to be saved. Of course Christians say God won't because of free will yadda yadda, yet he saves a woman in a car crash who chose not to wear her fucking seat belt? That makes absolutely no sense.

it's because people are presented with the anti-biblical figure of a fatherly loving and infinatley merciful god who cares about the lives of individual people. sodom and gammorah(sp)? great flood? from my interpretation of the bible, god is spiteful and vengeful and mean, and could care less about the average joe. I mean sure he sent jesus to die for us, but if you think about thats just saying, Well, instead of the case being you always go to hell, now you can serve me and my son, and youll go to heaven instead, where seeing as theres no sin in heaven, youll probably have your free will taken away.

The Bible does not say that two Christians praying will make it be done; it says that ANY two who gather in the name of God shall bring the Spirit into their presence.

And a fat white chick from America surviving a car crash is NOT a good thing, but the very reason the Africans are still starving, lol.

Divine intervention is misunderstood: God is in control of everything - the system of cause and effect, quantum mechanics, etc. He is the reason for both good and evil - we must merely be a cause. Some call it divine intervention when they happen to survive something that is beyond their ability to comprehend survival - there was no intervention involved; it just so happens that the physics that are part of cause and effect didn't take a life. It was exactly as it was meant to be.

In Ultimate Reality, there is no "good," neither is there "evil." These are mere value judgements we place on things to indicate whether or not we approve of them.

God gives nothing but blessings, sends nothing but angels. In time, you will realize that everything that happens to you is in your ultimate best interest for your soul's agenda, no matter how painful it may appear at the time.

We alone determine how we choose to experience reality.

And the world is as it is because we want it that way.

If everyone wanted to end world hunger, it would be ended overnight. As is is, many people don't care about Africans dying because 1) they are far away and 2) they are black.

And many aid shipments never get to the intended recipients because other people steal the stuff, or corrupt governments get in the way. Some of the worst dictators in Africa are exploiting and killing their own people, and no amount of outside aid can stop that.

Right now, we--as a species--spend about ONE TRILLION DOLLARS a year on war--trying to kill each other, in other words.

If this money would be spent instead on humanitarian causes, there would be no more hunger or homelessness in the world, and no one would have to pay any taxes than they do now, or do without anything they have now.
