religious cannibalism

I have nothing against cannibalism per se--Hannibal Lector is one of my number-one heroes from fiction. But putting it in a religious context seems a tad odd.

More than one "primitive" tribe will eat the heart and/or brain of a vanquished enemy--this is actually a matter of respect, as they think to do so will endow them with their enemy's power. This isn't religion per se--just being practical, and a great example of sympathetic magick.

But there is one major religion which has its members consume the actual body and blood of their god in mortal form. This frankly creeps me out.

The religion, of course,is known as Christianity. The process by which their wine and wafers magically turns into blood and human flesh is called by their priests "the miracle of transubstantiation."

It is really none of my business, so I have no opinion on the matter.

Second: We can't transform thought into a physical reality. You can't logically get something (matter) out of nothing (non-existing matter).

Your are also wrong on your second point.

Example--when you bite into a lemon, you secrete enzymes to aid digestion. If you strongly THINK about a lemon, or say the word "lemon" to yourself a few times, you will secrete the same enzymes, even though no lemon is physically present.

There are many other examples, but why bother?

you know this is why alot of the amazon tribes were such great christian converts. They were cannibals that believed when you ate the flesh of your enemy you became stronger and therefore got what christianity was saying.

Just because the lemon isn't present doesn't mean the enzymes aren't present.

EDIT: Allow me to elaborate. The enzymes are present in your body before you thought of the lemon. Just because the lemon isn't there doesn't mean enzymes spontaneously appeared, you triggered a memory and your body triggered the release or formation of enzymes. All of this takes pre-existing matter to work.

Please bother for another "example," as I have defeated the only one you gave me.

Remember, you're trying to prove to me that you can get something (matter) out of nothing (no matter, lack of matter). It's fucking impossible dude. It's a basic rule of logic.
