It seems that Ubuntu is both the most the favorite and least favorite distro... I don't like that, it is too much attention and it does not deserve it....

im an ubuntu "fan", its not my favorite, i prefer debian, but i support ubuntu in the forum because its easy as shit for a noob to use
nobody goes around saying 'o your a noob, heres slackware, its kinda hard to get used to, but youll know a lot in the end'
its because when a noob asks 'whats a good distro to get for me, im a complete and total noob
ubuntu is the easiest, simplest to install codecs (automatix) and most everything works "right out of the box"
and i dont see a point in arguing on a forum with people who i have never met in my life, and probably never will, over a distrobution, which is as much a personal opinion as someones favorite color

i may be a noob, but up until about a month ago this forum was helpful and intuitive, but since BiOPSY started arguing with everyone over how much better fedora is, it has just turned into a giant "I HATE UBUNTU" or "WHY DO YOU THINK UBUNTU IS SO TERRIBLE?" argument
