...because that'd just be stupid? Its like that really hot girl at your school. You've never seen her naked (and probably never will) but, you don't just look at her and say "wow shes beautiful". No, you wonder about how nice her tits must feel and what that fabulous ass can do. Humans are never content with not knowing. It is just irrational to take a stance of ignorance when there is absolutely no reason to believe 'x'. Again, as I have to repeat over and over, a supernatural entity is non-falsifiable. Stating that there is no proof that god does NOT exist is just blatantly inane. How could there possibly be evidence that something does NOT exist, other than pointing out that there is no instance of such a being in existence?

The theist's premise of god's existence is that it is supernatural. In this, they are assuming the existence of some supernatural plane of existence. The onus is on them, for they believe in this off-the-wall plane of existence, not the atheist.

The agnostic's problem is in thinking we can possibly produce evidence of the NON-EXISTENCE of a being and therefore, the burden of proof is equally on the atheist's shoulders.

Humans strive to understand, to know, which is why it is hard to accept that we cannot. In fact, you will never know anything more then you already do.

We don't live in peace because to justify our own beliefs as being truth we feel that other, somewhat different beliefs, must be false. Some feel that one of the 'truths' must be destroyed, that they cannot both be true, and out of fear cling on to their own while attacking the others.

Theists will not live in peace as long as there are rational human beings in the world. As long as people say:
"Where is God?"
"Don't think this is real"
"There is not a single itty bitty shred of evidence for God so how can you assume he exists?"

And finally...."Okay so you think he exists...why do you want that to affect me a non-believer?"

god does not equal an infinite and unstoppable fountain of answers and immutable truths! Most religious adherents and believers are completely irrational, devoid of the capacity to think original thoughts, in fact some are outright lunatics. And most can't seem to make sense out of the simplest ideas.
