THIS WEEK

DAMN YANKEES
==================
Well for the first time in a long while, we have a bonafide
"Supergroup" on the scene. "Damn Yankees" are a collection of
players, each immensely successful in their previous endeavours.
Just take a look at the lineup, and you'll see what I mean.
-TED NUGENT Yes the "Nuge" himself. No more need be said.
-TOMMY SHAW Former guitarist/vocalist from Styx.
-JACK BLADES Bassist/vocalist from Night Ranger.
and -MICHAEL CARTELLONE on drums.
It seems like a strange combination, especially with Ted
Nugent in there, but it works, AND HOW!!. The grittiness of the
Motor City Madman's guitar style lends credibility to, and
compliments the popish bent of Shaw and Blades. Tommy Shaw had
always been my favourite member of Styx, (Crystal Ball being my
choice for best Styx tune). Jack Blades vocal performance with
Night Ranger speaks for itself.
