Omega, the renegade Time Lord banished in the Anti-matter Universe,
decides that it is time he returned to the real universe. To achieve
this he needs the Doctor's body and Bio-Data Extract from the Matrix.
The Time Lords recall the TARDIS to Gallifrey. The Doctor is sentenced
to termination to avoid the anti-matter explosion that would occur if he
merged with Omega. Tegan is meanwhile captured by Omega and the Doctor
escapes termination through the Matrix. He travels to Amsterdam where
Omega is holding Tegan prisoner. Omega finally builds up enough power
to cross to the real universe. He escapes into the streets of Amsterdam
chased by the Doctor, Nyssa, and Tegan. Moments before Omega reverts
back to anti-matter, the Doctor shoots him with a matter conversion gun,
sending him back to the anti-matter universe. Book: Arc of Infinity, by

SNAKEDANCE (4 episodes)

George Ballantine (the hawker); Barry Smith (puppeteer); Bob Mills
(bodyguard); Barney Lawrence (Tahna's attendant). Story: Tegan
unconsciously sets the TARDIS coordinates for Manussa, the home planet
of the Mara. She dreams of a snake-like cave and the Doctor tries to
help her by showing her the cave. The Doctor is arrested by a visiting
dignitary as Tegan runs off. The Doctor tries his best to convince the
people of Manussa that the Mara is still living and threatens them all,
but only Chela shows a little belief. He helps the Doctor and Nyssa
escape from jail to fin d Dojjen, a mysterious snakedancer who knows how
t o destroy the Mara. With mental help from Dojjen, the Doctor
overcomes the Mara, which falls dead and deteriorates. Book: Snakedance,

6F 31 January 1983 to 8 February 1983
MAWDRYN UNDEAD (4 episodes)

Guest Cast: Nicholas Courtney (Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart); Valentine
Dyall (Black Guardian). Cast: David Collings (Mawdryn); Angus McKay
(Headmaster); Sheila Gill (Matron); Roger Hammond (Runciman); Stephen
Garlick (Ibbotson). Story: The Black Guardian recruits Turlough, an
alien living at the boys school where the Brigadier (retired) teaches,
to kill the Doctor. The TARDIS becomes trapped on a spaceship where
eight undead beings exist perpetually. These beings tried to turn
themselves into Time Lords and failed, condemning themselves to the
world of the undead. The Doctor returns to Earth via transmat, hoping
the TARDIS will follow. The TARDIS materialises at the right place but
6 years in the past. Tega n meets the Brigadie r and returns to the
spaceship in the TARDIS. The Doctor, six years in the future, meets the
Brigadier, who confusedly tells the Doctor about meeting Tegan six years
ago. They return, along with Turlough, to the ship via transmat. The
undead beings force the Doctor into a situation where he must give up
his remaning regenerations for their release from the undead and to save
Nyssa and Tegan from premature aging and death. Just before the
exchange of lives the two Brigadiers meet. The explosion from the
Blinovitch Limitation Effect saves them all. They escape and the
spaceship explodes. Turlough asks if he can join the crew. Book:

6G 14 February 1983 to 22 February 1983
TERMINUS (4 episodes)

Cast: Liza Goddard (Kari); Dominic Guard (Olvir); Rachael Weaver (Inga);
Peter Benson (Bor); R.J. Bell (the Garm); Martin Muncaster (tannoy
voice). Story: After Turlough sabotages the TARDIS, temporal instability
threatens them all and cuts off Nyssa from the others. The Doctor
forces the TARDIS to link up with a passing liner. Nyssa escapes into
the liner and the temporal instability fades. The Doctor goes looking
for her. He finds her and they are jumped by two space raiders when
huge numbers of diseased beings fill the ship. The ship is Terminus,
where the Lazar disease is cured. They split up to look for the TARDIS
and Nyssa is caught by a ro bot because she is beginning to suffer from
the disease. She is taken with the other Lazars to the forbidden zone,
where radiation from the liner's faulty engines cures the disease.
Nyssa goes first and is cured, while the Doctor tries to prevent the
unstable engines from exploding. He succeeds with help from the
intelligent but enslaved Garm, in exchange for its freedom. When they
return to the TARDIS Nyssa tells them that she is staying to help
perfect the Lazar disease cur e. Book: Terminus, by John Lydecker.

6H 28 February 1983 to 8 March 1983
ENLIGHTENMENT (4 episodes)

Baron (Wrack); Lee John (Mansell); Christopher Brown (Marriner); Tony
Caunter (Jackson); Clive Kneller (Collier); James McClure (1st Officer);
John Cannon (Helmsman). Story: The White Guardian instructs the Doctor
to set certain coordinates, which lands the ship on a strange Edwardian
racing yacht. They discover that the ship is in a race with other ships
and that they aren't on the sea but in space: the boats are spaceships
competing in a race for "Enlightenment." Captain Wrack, piloting
another ship in the race, is determined to win at all costs, even
sabotage. Her sabotage of the Edwardian yacht fails and the Doctor
himself pilots Wrack's sh ip to victory. He, ther efore, is the
rightful winner of Enlightenment, in the form of a huge diamond
controlled by the Guardians. He declines, and the Guardians offer it to
Turlough: the diamond or the Doctor. Turlough chooses the Doctor, and
the Guardians disappear. The Doctor promises to take Turlough home.

THE KING'S DEMONS (2 episodes)

Jackson (Sir Geoffrey); Peter Burrough (Jester); Jakob Lindberg (lute
player); Tony Annis (jailer). Story: The TARDIS lands in 13th century
England at the time of the Magna Carta. The travellers arrive at a
colourful pageant and meet King John, who is acting very strangely. The
Doctor challenges Sir Giles, who seems to be exerting an unusual
influence over the King, to a swordfight. As the Doctor gains the upper
hand, Sir Giles whips out a familiar Tissue Compression Eliminator,
proving himself to be the Master! The Doctor fights a mental battle
with the Master for contro l of Kamelion, a shape-shiftin g robot from
Xeriphas who had taken the guise of the King. The travellers rush into
the TARDIS, along with sudden companion Kamelion, leaving the Master
behind. Tegan allows Kamelion to stay in her room and the Doctor
promises a visit to the Eye of Orion for a much-needed holiday.

(guard). Story: In the Eye of Orion the Doctor feels his other selves
being torn from him. He lands on Gallifrey in the Death Zone to find
his other selves. The First Doctor has met Susan and they enter the
TARDIS to find the Doctor, Tegan, and Turlough. Meanwhile, the Second
Doctor along with the Brigadier, set off for the Dark Tower which
contans the Tomb of Rassilon. The Third Doctor, with Sarah-Jane, also
heads for the Tower. The Doctor sets off with Susan and Tegan and meets
the Master who has bee n sent by the High Council to help him. A squad
of Cybermen attack them and the Doctor escapes via transmat to the High
Council Chambers while the Master is caught and Tegan and Susan return
to the TARDIS. The First Doctor sets off with Tegan for the Tower and
Turlough and Susan soon find the TARDIS under attack by the Cybermen.
The First Doctor reaches the tomb first, soon followed by the Third and
Second. The Doctor discovers that President Borusa has been using a
device called the Time Scoop to gather his oth er selves, his former
friends, and his old enemies, all so that Borusa can gain entrance to
the Tomb of Rassilon and achieve immortality. Under Borusa's control,
the Doctor and he transmat to the Tomb where, under the combined forces
of the other Doctors, he is set free from Borusa's grasp. Rassilon
appears and Borusa accepts his offer of immortality. Borusa is
immediately transformed into stone. The other Doctors leave with their
respective companions whe n Flavia transmats to the Tomb and pronounces
t he Doctor President. He makes his first Presidential action giving
Flavia full deputy powers until he returns, at which point he leaves
Gallifrey. This story was a 90-minute special marking the 20th
anniversary and was shown on 23 November 1983 in America. Book: The Five
