TrekBomb: Another Star Trek Drinking Game
Here are the rules to "The Star Trek Drinking Game". This came across the net
at UCLA. It was posted by David Vangerov at UCSC. If you follow the rules,
you should get plastered in about 10 minutes. I won't put quotes around this
since it's too long for that. Here is...
Star Trek Drinking Game Rules
DRINK:
One shot for each time Kirk gets into the elevator, and an extra one if he
verbally instructs the elevator ("Bridge!") instead of using the dumb control
stick. Whenever a red shirt gets nuked. One for each time anybody says
'Energize'. One for each time Spock says 'Illogical'. Whenever McCoy says "I'm
a doctor, not a !" Whenever Uhura says "Hailing frequencies open." Whenever
Kirk has his shirt forcibly removed. Everytime Spock uses the word "logical"
Everytime Scotty says, "the warp engines canna handle the load."
"Captain." as a single sentence.
"Standard orbit."
"Lock phasers/photon torpedos on target."
The bosun's whistle that summons the captain.
"Fascinating."
Spock address the captain as "Jim". The little voice on the intercom that says
"Forward phasers, will comply" or "Gravity down to point eight".
A Starfleet Command officer on the viewscreen.
"Captain, she's gonna blow!"
"This is Captain James T. Kirk of the Starship Enterprise."
McCoy: "He's dead, Jim." Sulu/Chekov/extra: "Phasers locked on target" or
"Coming around to new course."
Uhura: "Captain, I'm frightened." Everytime Kirk falls in love. Whenever the
Enterprise is going to break down/crash/turn into goo in xx hours.
Whenever Kirk destroys a computer. Whenever the camera tilts and everyone
falls out his/her chair. Everytime the Number Four shield is damaged or
inoperative. Or, for that matter, whenever anybody's #4 shield is hit.
Everytime Sulu does a countdown (or even once per number!).
Kirk kisses someone. Kirk drop kicks someone. You see a poorly fought fight.
You see a styrofoam planet. (A very deadly rule) The shuttlebay doors
open/close. Uhura holds her earpiece. Kirk calls McCoy "Bones". Spock looks
into his peep-show machine. Spock activates another noise generating
instrument. McCoy does nothing useful on the bridge when crewmembers are
injured. Chekov mispronounces something. Their weapons become powerless. The
transporter is broken. The Enterprise is damaged (three drinks). Something
overloads, smokes, and blows up. Drink every time anyone takes a drink. Drink
twice if it's Scotty.
"Captain's Log..."; twice if it's supplemental.
Everytime a deadline is met, or not met for that matter. Everytime Spock
constructs or modifies primitive equipment. Everytime Kirk "out-logics" a
computer. Everytime a direct order is disobeyed. Everytime an extra has a
spoken line. And most importantly, drink whenever Kirk gets peachy at the end.
Optional: How about consuming X (shots, mugs, whatever) in direct proportion
to the speed of the Enterprise (ie., when it is first announced or when it is
ordered changed)? Y'know:
Kirk: Ahead warp factor 2 --> 2 shots Chekov: M-5 has changed course, moving
towards the Potemkin at Warp 5
---> everyone take a break.
Also, feel free to add "episode rules," rules that only apply to the episode
you are watching, like:
Drink once for everytime Kirk calls Spock a "half-breed" in
"What Are Little Girls Made Of?"
Everytime they show the "mind emptier" in "Dagger of the Mind."
Have fun. You'll be drunk in no time.
