Default potassium nitrate

So im planning on making a kno3/sugar smoke-emitting device, and I need a bit of help here. what im looking for is a source potassium nitrate in ontario... now i know you guys dont provide specific sources of this, but maybe you guys can give some hints as to where i can find it. Im currently searching the sites of various drugstores/lawn care stores but i just cant seem to find it anywhere. Also, buying it online is not an option for me. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there any risk to buying it, do I need id, would the clerk get suspicious of me buying it, ask questions about what its for, etc?

I'm not going to use it for anything illegal, but I still want to avoid any hassle.

But do any stores actually have it in canada, or do they only have it in the states, because I cant it find it anywhere on the canadian sites? Or would i need to physically go to the store and look for it?

You'll need to do a lot of searching. It is possible to find it around here, but it's not that easy. I never saw it sold in any hardware stores or anything.

Typically stores like Canadian Tire, Home Depot. Rona, etc. don't advertise their chemical products online, so you'll want to be going in store.

Well, I just went to the local home depot and took a nice long walk in their garden centre, and I found nothing even remotely close to stump killer or anything of that nature.
