Is there any way to configure my firefox (under Ubuntu 7.04) so that the backspace key will go back one page?

Cheers.

I don't know, its not in preferences so I doubt it. But if you want it that bad you can download wine and then the windows version of firefox and it works.. I did this once when I needed a plugin that wasn't available for linux..

go to about:config , type in "back" as the filter. Methinks that "browser.backspace_action" probably has something to do with what you're asking.

you guys should use opera, back is just hold right click and tap left on the mouse. forward is hold left and tap right.

edit:
just to save making a new thread, has anyone come accross a mouse gesture app for gnome yet? there was one in the works a while ago, but it was basically shit and didn't work, and i would love to see a decent one.

hey wow, same here. i didn't realise that was an option. i think ill still use the clicks though, it makes it easier to skip forward and back multiple pages.
