What even made them think it would explode?

Anything with batteries and wires that looks slightly weird is automatically considered a "bomb" now.

I had at least 4 people ask me if my taken apart disposable camera was a bomb.

I heard on the news "A potential means of detonation", so whether that meant the petrol heating the gas canisters up enough to pressure-explode them or not I don't know.
