editing in futurama?

I was watching futurama the other night and it was one of the episodes where the professor says "sweet zombie jesus!" now when he said this it just cut the sound out. he still was drawn saying it and there was no bleep. just no sound. so this has happened a couple times. so did some Christan complain and get it taken out? or what?

Well when a show goes in syndication, there are usually a few minutes from the original episode cut out. This doesn't appear to be the case, I imagine it's just Cartoon Network(or whatever channel you saw the show on) taking preemptive action against complaints.

even at this mall near me there is a hot topic that wont sell anything with a pentagram, inverted cross, or any other shit they deem not "family oriented material"
its all bullshit this is one of the reasons i hate christianity the most

Yeah, I noticed that sometime last year when I was watching it, and I assumed that it was just a technical glitch with the sound, but a few months later, I saw another episode with the "Sweet Zombie [silence]!"

no man, Christian censorship sucks, but I think i remeber in the dvd that the prof was having a dream and he was like "But there wont be enough for zombie jesus" in the deleted scene, then he wakes up and said sweet zobie jesus!, so its probably just selling off optional seconds for commercial time.
