Favorite midnight snack
What's some of your favorite midnight snacks to make? Frequently, I find myself in the kitchen putting either cheese, cheese and ham, or peanut butter on ritz crackers. I've also made peanut butter toast, frozen microwavable pizzas, and a sort of hot ham-n-cheese melt thing, where I take some deli sliced ham, and American cheese, place them on a hamburger bun, and microwave for 20 seconds. Tastes good with Arby's sauce, if we have any packets, or spicy brown mustard, or Famous Dave's Devil Spit barbeque sauce.
Anyway, I was just looking for some new ideas.

Re: Favorite midnight snack
Night time is a dangerous time for me to be snacking. Around 3am my blood sugar levels crash, leaving me craving donuts, and biscits, white bread with lots of jam and penut butter, more donuts. It's really fucking scary.
Generally when I get cravings like that at some godforseaken time of night, I'll have a big mug of hot strong sweet tea and 4 temazepam. One sure way to kill the cravings.

Waffles+peanut butter+syrup is the fucking best to me during late nights.
A big bowl of cereal is always great too.
I usually eat sweet foods for snacks.

Re: Favorite midnight snack
A big glass of water or something like a little sandwich. Some french fries. Whatever tickles your fancy at the time, really.

Where the hell do you get french fries in the middle of the night? I'd have to make Ore-Ida in the oven, which would take about half an hour to get the oven heated up, and then to cook the french fries. Plus I'd have to make close to a whole cookie sheet worth, otherwise it just wouldn't seem worth it.
I demand access to your secret french fry well.

Re: Favorite midnight snack
One peach
One good sized piece of Rocquefort cheese
One bottle of any medium bodied red Bordeaux or California cabernet (but not one of those big big BIG cabs, something a little milder for midnight)
Or, really crusty bread, crema de peperoncino, and grappa.

Re: Favorite midnight snack
Some brie and lingonberry preserves on some crusty bread usually does the trick.
Tea* is also good, although I'm not sure if it counts as a snack.
*Edit: Usually chamomile, sometimes red.

Re: Favorite midnight snack
French fries, a slice of pizza, or some sort of breakfast food are for if you're out and about.
