Tea bags vs. Loose leaf
I've always made my tea, whatever kind, with either Celestial Seasonings or Yogi Tea tea bags. I've never tried loose leaf, but I've heard it's better. Do you think this is true? Any tips on making the perfect cup o' tea?

It tastes different.
Frankly, if I'm at home, I'll want a teabag because they take no effort whatsoever.
If I'm at a cafe, I'd want tea leaves...but then again on the other hand I always order coffee at cafes.

Teabags are the lazy way, leaf tea (proper tea) I think is better, I don't know why but it has more "taste" to it...

Yogi tea FTW!
I've allways had issues with leaf tea. Often, I'll forget I put leaves in there, wont have strained it, and I'll drink it down. Wondering why there's bits of tea stuck in my teeth.
I love a good earl grey tea bag. Nothing fancy. I'll even be happy with a cheap nasty own brand teabag of the 17p for 50 in sainsburys type. But I'd rather have earl grey if possible.

Yeah, I usually have either earl grey or red tea. Some of my friends even call me Captain Picard for liking earl grey.
Other than that though, I have half a cabinet dedicated to different teas.

Heh me too!
Well, beverages in general. Different types of coffe grounds, instant coffee, a few boxes of generic green tea, various fruit teas, cheap nasty supermarket brand tea in large quantity, dehydrated milk poweder, jaagery gore, molasses, earl grey, bergamot, lady grey, diet pepsi, horlicks (hehehe horlicks) and hot chocolate powder.

I made a cup of tea awhile ago, it was very cold and I was like 'yes, I'm going to enjoy this' so I put my sugar in and whatnot and took the first sip...
IT WAS BLOODY EARL GREY, IT WAS HORRIBLE!

Re: Tea bags vs. Loose leaf
Well I think generally speaking loose leaf, but thats not to say there arent some great bagged teas (Republic of Tea makes great bagged teas, the best I think - check them out!! :P). Bagged teas CAN be just as good, its just that the popular favorites arent necessarily being bagged (in places other than the US at least! :P)
Its going to take a long time for real tea loving countries to get used to bags I think.

Re: Tea bags vs. Loose leaf
the reason loose - leaf is considered superiour is that often what ends up in tea bags is literally what is swept off the floor when the tea is being graded. (seriously, I've seen it happen)
