President Bush: An International Perspective.

by John Pyles

I am an 18 year old American who lives in Australia and I have access to the local Australian news, plus CNN-Asian edition. And what these channels say about Bush is far from flattering.

In the year 2000, our president got in to office due to a technicality which confused the world completely and made America look more like a hippocracy than a democracy.

In less then 6 months later, Bush pissed off the world with his choices on the greenhouse effects treaty and the balistic missiles treaty. He also caused America to lose its seat in the UN for humane ethics.

In between all of this were Bush's many stupid-ass comments which people laughed at and got pissed off at. Bush's most famous was when he said "Iran, Iraq and North Korea are all part of an axis of evil." What the hell does that mean??

Just as Bush was starting to lose support from the Americans, September 11th came. Suddenly Bush became a hero because now (like anyone would) he is going after the terrorists. Now with everyone in fear, they ignore their real oppinions and bond together to fight the terrorist. America even got sympathy from just about every nation in the world.

Bush fixed this quickly when his attention suddenly got diverted to Iraq due to personal reasons (Saddam tried to assasinate Bush senior). In a time of relative peace in Iraq when Saddam is as benign as ever, Bush decides to start war with out agreement from the UN. Fortunately he decides to back down at the last minute. In other words, he was very close to committing war crimes like Milosovich.

Bush is also for guns and he supports the drug companies; the very business which makes Americans pay more for prescription drugs than any other culture in the world. He is also war hungry and doesn't care about getting along with other countries and benefitting mutually. Finally there should be no doubt in anyone's mind that he is the dumbest president America has ever had!!

Next time lets count the votes. I look forward to 2004.
